My new house came with two 25′ wood poles apparently left over from a power or telephone line that was never built. I decided to use one of the for the center pole of a K9AY receiving loop system. All I can say is “WOW!” This antenna is amazing! I can hear things I never could on the dipole, and the signal-to-noise ratio is about 10 dB better than the dipole. I used PC boards from Far Circuits to build the switch matrix and preamp/bandpass filter. These boards work great, but I think if I had to do it over, I’d just buy the Array Solutions controller. It’s not much more expensive than buying the parts.
